Laboratory fume hoods serve to control exposure to toxic, offensive or flammable vapors, gases and aerosols. Labtro Fume hoods are the primary method of exposure control in the laboratory. The laboratory fume hood is a type of local exhaust ventilation system (engineering control). A typical Labtro fume hood is a cabinet with a moveable front sash (window) made out of safety glass. A properly used and properly functioning fume hood exhausts hazardous gases, dusts, mists, and vapors from a confined location and helps protect workers from inhalation exposure.

Labtro Fume Hood is used to protect lab environment and operator during general chemical applications. It actively protects operator from inhaling toxic vapors and dramatically reduces the risk of fire and explosion. By installing proper filter, it can also protect environment.

OUTER GRID TEST

Labtro laminar flow system is a vital concept in the control of particulate contamination.Labtro Laminar air flow is defined as air moving at the same speed and in the same direction, with no or minimal cross-over of air streams (or “lamina”). By contrast, turbulent flow creates swirls and eddies that deposit particles on surfaces randomly and unpredictably. Most contamination-sensitive environments such as dust-free hoods require laminar flow because it predictably sweeps particles in a uniform direction, from the cleanest area under the hood (the filter face) to the exit area, which is generally the sash opening or vents along the back or bottom of the hood. This design ensures that the cleanest (and most germ-free) area will always be the upstream area closest to the filter face. Work is generally done in that clean zone, as far as possible from obstructions that create turbulence.
